Getting to the hotel.

Three right turns from the airport, and you're at the front door. Here's the longer version.

Eight kilometers, mostly straight roads, twenty minutes from the airport in light traffic. We'll save you the sentence and tell you the turns.

From the airport (current terminal, 2021–present)

The new Puerto Princesa International Airport terminal opened in early 2021 and is closer to us than the old one. The route from the new terminal is about as simple as it gets in Palawan.

  1. Exit the airport and head northwest on Rizal Avenue.
  2. Turn right onto the North Highway (Puerto Princesa North Road).
  3. After about a kilometer, turn right onto B.M. Road. We're a kilometer down on the left.

Three turns. The whole trip takes ten to twenty minutes by van depending on traffic, longer if you're going through downtown around school hours.

From the seaport

If you're arriving by ferry from Manila or Coron, the seaport is about 15 minutes from us. Tricycles and Grab cars are available at the pier; expect ₱150–250 by tricycle, slightly more by Grab.

Public transport options

  • Tricycle — the standard local taxi. From the airport, around ₱150–200 negotiated. Cheap, slow, fine for one or two people with light bags.
  • Grab — available in the city. Reliable, no negotiation needed. ₱200–300 from the airport.
  • Multicab / jeepney — cheapest if you're patient. Drops you on the highway; you'd walk the last kilometer.

Or, the easy way

We arrange airport transfers for guests at ₱1,000 per van per way. Send us your flight details when you book and a vehicle will be waiting at arrivals with a sign. It's not the cheapest option, but if you've just landed after a long flight, the marginal cost is worth the certainty.

The address, if you're being driven

Ala Amid Bed & Breakfast
8 B.M. Road, Brgy. San Manuel
Puerto Princesa City, Palawan 5300

Drivers who don't know the property by name will know it as “Ala Amid” or as the bed and breakfast on B.M. Road near the BM Beach turn. The street has only a handful of buildings, so you can't really miss us.

If you get lost

Call +63 917 815-4899 (Globe) or +63 920 912-2723 (Smart). Someone at the desk can talk you in or send a tricycle to the corner.

For the curious

San Manuel is one of Puerto Princesa's quieter barangays. We're a kilometer from BM Beach, fifteen minutes from Robinson's Place Mall, and an easy tricycle ride from anywhere worth eating. More on the neighborhood here.
