Ala Amid Bed & Breakfast (“Ala Amid,” “we,” “us,” “our”) is a family-run boutique hotel located at 8 B.M. Road, Barangay San Manuel, Puerto Princesa City, Palawan 5300, Philippines. We act as the data controller for personal information we collect from guests and visitors to our website.

We collect personal information in the course of running the property and serving guests. Specifically:

• Reservation details — full name, email, phone number, country of residence, dates of stay, room preferences, number of guests, and any special requests you share with us.
• Identification — a copy of a government-issued ID at check-in, as required for guest registration in the Philippines.
• Payment information — credit card or other payment data, processed by our booking partner ReservationKey or by our payment processor on the property. We do not store full card numbers ourselves.
• Communications — the content of emails, calls, and messages you send us.
• Website data — your IP address, browser type, pages visited, and similar standard analytics, collected through cookies and analytics tools.
• Marketing — if you subscribe to our newsletter, your email and any preferences you indicate.

3. How we use it

We use your information for the following purposes:

• Confirming and managing your reservation, including communicating with you before, during, and after your stay.
• Processing payments and issuing receipts.
• Complying with Philippine law on guest registration, taxation, and reporting.

• ReservationKey — our booking platform, which processes reservations and payments.
• Payment processors — banks and payment gateways that handle card transactions.
• Tour partners and transfer providers — only the information needed to arrange a service you have requested (e.g., a name and pickup time for an Underground River tour).
• Government agencies — when required by Philippine law, including the Bureau of Immigration, Department of Tourism, and tax authorities.
• Service providers — including web hosting (Netlify), email tools, and analytics, all bound by appropriate confidentiality obligations.

We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

5. Cookies

6. How long we keep it

We retain reservation records for as long as required by Philippine tax and tourism regulations (typically ten years). Marketing data is retained until you unsubscribe. Website analytics data is retained on a rolling basis according to the standard settings of our analytics provider.
